United continued their domestic dominance by winning the Premier League title by an enormous 18-point margin over Arsenal. They scored 97 league goals, with Dwight Yorke, Andy Cole and Ole Gunnar Solskjær leading a prolific attack. In December 1999, United also won the Intercontinental Cup, defeating Brazilian side Palmeiras 1–0 in Tokyo through a Roy Keane goal. Their success showed that the Treble-winning campaign had not been a one-off, although the club made the controversial decision to withdraw from the FA Cup to participate in the FIFA Club World Championship in Brazil. Despite that unusual decision, United finished the season as champions of England and the world.

Hi, I’m Dale

I’m the person behind MadeByDale and this website. It’s a passion project, built by a fan, for fans who love the shirts as much as the football.

My goal

To make the most fun and immersive way to explore Manchester United’s shirt history, season by season: every shirt, the trophies won, the players who made the difference and the stories behind each campaign, all in one place.

Keeping it going

The site is free to explore. If you enjoy it, an optional donation helps me cover hosting and domain costs and gives me the time to keep it updated, add more seasons and expand on specific years with deeper stories, stats and shirt details. No pressure at all: sharing the site with another fan helps just as much.
