United reclaimed the Premier League title from Chelsea, finishing nine points ahead of their London rivals and securing their 19th English league championship, moving ahead of Liverpool’s long-standing record of 18. Nemanja Vidić and Rio Ferdinand provided defensive strength, while Rooney, Berbatov, Giggs and Nani all played important roles in the campaign. United confirmed the title with a draw against Blackburn Rovers, Rooney scoring a penalty to secure the point they needed. They also beat Manchester City 3–2 in the 2011 Community Shield, with Nani scoring twice, including a dramatic stoppage-time winner. United reached the Champions League final but lost 3–1 to Barcelona at Wembley.

Hi, I’m Dale

I’m the person behind MadeByDale and this website. It’s a passion project, built by a fan, for fans who love the shirts as much as the football.

My goal

To make the most fun and immersive way to explore Manchester United’s shirt history, season by season: every shirt, the trophies won, the players who made the difference and the stories behind each campaign, all in one place.

Keeping it going

The site is free to explore. If you enjoy it, an optional donation helps me cover hosting and domain costs and gives me the time to keep it updated, add more seasons and expand on specific years with deeper stories, stats and shirt details. No pressure at all: sharing the site with another fan helps just as much.
