2003 - 2004 Manchester United home, away and third shirts
FA Cup Success
United finished third in the Premier League but ended the campaign with the FA Cup after defeating Millwall 3–0 in the final. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring with a header before Ruud van Nistelrooy added two second-half goals, securing a comfortable victory at the Millennium Stadium. Ronaldo’s first season in England offered a glimpse of the world-class player he would become, while the FA Cup provided a positive end to a campaign in which United had fallen short in the league. Their Champions League run ended in the last 16 against Porto, leaving the domestic cup as their major achievement. United lost the 2004 Community Shield 3–1 to Arsenal, with Alan Smith scoring their goal.
