Manchester United reclaimed the Premier League title in emphatic fashion, finishing 11 points ahead of Manchester City and securing the club’s 20th English league championship. New signing Robin van Persie proved decisive, scoring 26 league goals and forming a formidable attacking partnership with Wayne Rooney. Van Persie’s hat-trick in the 3–0 victory over Aston Villa at Old Trafford mathematically secured the title with four games remaining. United had also won the 2013 Community Shield, defeating Wigan Athletic 2–0 at Wembley with both goals scored by Van Persie. The campaign became especially memorable when Ferguson announced his retirement after 26 years as manager, bringing an extraordinary era to an end with one final league title.

Hi, I’m Dale

I’m the person behind MadeByDale and this website. It’s a passion project, built by a fan, for fans who love the shirts as much as the football.

My goal

To make the most fun and immersive way to explore Manchester United’s shirt history, season by season: every shirt, the trophies won, the players who made the difference and the stories behind each campaign, all in one place.

Keeping it going

The site is free to explore. If you enjoy it, an optional donation helps me cover hosting and domain costs and gives me the time to keep it updated, add more seasons and expand on specific years with deeper stories, stats and shirt details. No pressure at all: sharing the site with another fan helps just as much.
